The Carolina Hurricanes had a slow start, fell behind 1-0, but came on strong to defeat the New Jersey Devils, 3-1 on Tuesday night at the Lenovo Center.
The win gives Carolina a 2-0 lead in this opening round series.
After falling behind 1-0 in the opening period, Shayne Gostisbehere tied the game early in the second when he followed up his own shot in close.
A bit later in that period, Dmitri Orlov fed Jordan Martinook, shorthanded, and Martinook snipered a shot past goalie, Jacob Markstrom to give the home team a lead they would never relinquish.
