Game Two Recap - Hurricanes 6, Kings 5 - SO

The Los Angeles Kings erased an early 3-0 Carolina lead and eventually tied the score 5-5 late in the game, but the Canes won a dramatic nine round shootout when Jordan Martinook scored on a nifty backhander.

The Hurricanes started the game with a lot of jump and scored three goals in the first period.

Brent Burns got things started with a top shelf shot, then shortly after Sebastian Aho scored on a shorthanded breakaway.

Jesperi Kotkaniemi then beat LA goalie Pheonix Copley with a sharp angled shot which caught the goalie by surprise.

Before the end of the period, Drew Daughty made the score 3-1 with a shot from the point.
