Game Two Gets Physical & An Overtime Win for Carolina.

It’s the best time of the year hockey wise, and I’m excited that Carolina made it into the playoffs for the fifth consecutive year. Last game was something else between Islanders penalties and Hurricanes injuries.

At least the Canes won, right?

Hurricanes center Paul Stastny started the game off with a goal at 5:49 in the first period, marking his first goal for Carolina in the postseason. Defenseman Jaccob Slavin earned his first assist of the playoffs as well. The game started to get more physical halfway through the period as Islanders center Casey Cizikas earned a double minor penalty for high-sticking against Carolina’s Sebastian Aho.
