The Canes return to Raleigh Saturday looking to keep their six-game point streak alive against the Islanders.
The Metro division matchup pits Carolina (17-12-4) against a strong Isles (15-8-9) squad that’s earned 15 points in its last 10 games. New York boasts a 6-1-3 record for the month of December, but most recently fell 3-2 to the Capitals in a overtime loss Wednesday.
The Hurricanes will hope to return to the win column after a string a disappointing OT losses of their own, most recently coming up short in a 2-1 heartbreaker in Pittsburgh on Thursday.
