The Carolina Hurricanes notched a huge win over the Buffalo Sabres on Dec. 15, to round out a six-game road trip on a two-game winning streak. Jaccob Slavin scored the goal in overtime, past Sabres goalie Chad Johnson, to get the win 5-4.
Carolina ended the road stretch with a record of 2-2-2. Slavin’s first goal of the road trip was saved for the best time possible. He capped off a game where the Canes had five different goal scorers. Jordan Staal, Justin Williams, Elias Lindholm, and Derek Ryan registered the other four.
It was a truly great effort all-around from the Canes, especially with Cam Ward between the pipes.
