I have talked about the Carolina Hurricanes filling seats in PNC arena. Outside of the season opener against Eric Staal and the Wild, the most attended home game for the hurricanes was the Nov 11th matchup against the Chicago Blackhawks. The only game that came close to that was the Black Friday game with Toronto. What made the game vs the Blackhawks special and brought the fans to fill the arena was that it was a homegrown game.
For those not familiar with the concept of the homegrown series, allow me to describe.
