As the Carolina Hurricanes enter a matchup with the Colorado Avalanche on Nov. 2 on the road at the Pepsi Center in Denver, the team needs a victory to end a two-game losing streak. This is the first game of November for the Canes as they ended October with a 4-4-2 record. Yet, the Canes are missing a key player in defenseman Brett Pesce due to concussion protocol. Newly acquired Trevor van Riemsdyk will play alongside Jaccob Slavin on the first defensive pairing.
Pesce is likely to miss both of the games for the Canes against the Avalanche and the Arizona Coyotes during this two-game road trip.
