The Carolina Hurricanes are looking to be buyers during this year’s free agency. Despite have a pool of UFA’s and RFA’s that are (as of right now) unknowns for next season, the Hurricanes still have plenty of cap space to work with even after signing budding superstar Sebastian Aho to a more than likely high-dollar deal.
Before getting into the list, let’s look at what the Hurricanes need; a better powerplay, a solid offensively-gifted grinder, a big-bodied, shutdown defender, and to continue the trend of solid, consistent goaltending. The Hurricanes suffered for the entire season and postseason on the powerplay, and our defense made quite a few mistakes that cost us more than a few games.
