Whatever way you want to describe the events that occurred in the third period in Raleigh on March 13 at PNC Arena, it’s not good for fans of the Carolina Hurricanes. The support for the team was already dwindling with a stretch of 12 games where the Canes only won three.
However, on March 13, the Canes faced the Boston Bruins, in the back end of back-to-back matchups. The first saw the Canes fall short to the New York Rangers at Madison Square Garden, 6-3. Things looked to get better with a competitive first two periods for the Canes.
