Carolina Hurricanes: Slavin to Replace Dougie in All Star Game

The Carolina Hurricanes suffered a significant loss last night, as Dougie Hamilton broke his left fibula after getting tangled up with Columbus Blue Jackets forward Kevin Stenlund. The timetable for his return is unknown at the time of writing.

This left many in doubt as to who would replace him at the All Star Game this year. Some fans were rallying behind sophomore phenom Andrei Svechnikov to bring his hockey (and lacrosse) talents to the All Star Game in St. Louis, but the NHL wasted no time in naming Jaccob Slavin as Hamilton’s replacement.
