For the Carolina Hurricanes to make a good NHL playoff run during the 2017-18 campaign, Jeff Skinner and Sebastian Aho will need to have career years. Aho finally got off and running in the Nov. 13 win over the Dallas Stars, 5-1. His four points combined with a hat trick from Teuvo Teravainen pushed the Canes to the convincing victory.
Moreover, Skinner added his ninth tally of the season, but he is lacking in the assist department. His nine goals lead the team, with Teravainen and Jordan Staal in second place with six goals each. Aho was second in goals for the Canes last season, but he’s got an uphill battle to reach that point right now.
