Carolina Hurricanes Sign Elias Lindholm to a Two-Year Contract Extension

The Carolina Hurricanes locked up a very important past of their future today as they signed Elias Lindholm to a two-year contract extension. The contract will go into effect following the 2015-2016 season, the final year of his rookie deal.

The contract will pay Lindholm $2.5 million in 2016-2017 and $2.9 million in 2017-2018. The The 20-year-old Swede will have an annual cap hit of $2.7 million over the two years.

Ron Francis, General Manager and Executive Vice President of the Carolina Hurricanes, was quite pleased with the deal, as he explained in the team’s official announcement.
