Carolina Hurricanes Reassign Brendan Woods to Charlotte

Brendan Woods, the 23 year-old, 6’4″ left winger, was called up to Raleigh a week ago, and played in the Canes last three games. He didn’t tally any points against the Senators, Bruins or Sabres, but did get 3 shots on net, had 33 total shifts accounting for almost 21:00 of ice time.

The move means that the Hurricanes only have eleven forwards available for Tuesday’s game against the league-leading Washington Capitals, and will need to move a player up from the Checkers.

There is also a very good chance that another Hurricanes, most likely Chris Terry, could also be reassigned to Charlotte, triggering a second call-up.
