First-year Carolina Hurricanes goaltender Scott Darling received some serious criticism from the fan base this season as he’s off to a rough start during his tenure in Raleigh. Us at Cardiac Cane are guilty of posting some pieces talking about Darling’s struggles and other options the Canes explore.
In all reality, Darling was brought in to be the goalie of the future for the organization, and he needs the support to gain enough confidence to get comfortable in net. He’s a solid goaltender, as proven with the Chicago Blackhawks, and something is not connecting with the Canes.
Whether it be the shadow of Cam Ward, still with the franchise, or having a tough time adjusting to the new team, Darling could use some support.
