Carolina Hurricanes: Preview, Predictions vs Kings on Dec. 2

On Friday night the Carolina Hurricanes received continued star-like goaltending from Curtis McElhlinney, who stopped 27 of 29 shots in the eventual 2-1 OT loss for the Canes. It was not enough this time as John Gibson continued his stellar season in stopping 33 of 34 of the Hurricanes’ shots. The Canes’ lone goal came from the ever-improving 2nd overall pick of the 2018 Entry Draft, Andrei Svechnikov.

Unfortunately, the Canes’ recent improved play with special teams went by the wayside in that game. The power play saw the ice six times for the Canes, and to no avail as a grand total of zero pucks found the twine.
