Carolina Hurricanes: New head coach needs to be on same page with front office

A recent problem for the Carolina Hurricanes, under former head coach Bill Peters, was that the front office seemed to be on a different page than the coaching staff and the players themselves. Peters had a ton of untapped potential with the Canes in the past three seasons, and things didn’t go well during that span of time ultimately.

This all resulted in a new majority owner coming in to change things up quite a bit, including finding a new head coach and general manager. Tom Dundon actually removed the general manager, Ron Francis at the time, out of his role within days after the passing of the 2018 NHL Trade Deadline.
