With an early goal less than two minutes into a matchup with the New York Rangers on Dec. 1 at Madison Square Garden, veteran winger Justin Williams claimed his 700th career point. It’s a huge milestone for Williams, who already holds quite the impressive amount of accolades.
The goal for Williams that beat Rangers goalie Henrik Lundqvist went unassisted. It’s the 18th point of the season, and the fifth goal, for Williams on the season. That goal ties Williams with Sebastian Aho for second on the Canes in points, only behind Teuvo Teravainen.
Carolina could use a big win over the Rangers in this contest.
