The Carolina Hurricanes roster should be used to trade rumors at this point. With all the young talent on the Canes blue line, numerous teams have targeted players like Noah Hanifin, Justin Faulk, and Brett Pesce recently. Hanifin was subject to most of the trade rumors before the 2017 NHL Trade Deadline.
Seeing general manager Ron Francis hang on to Hanifin through the deadline, even though the Canes did not have much of a shot at the playoffs, seems to be paying off. Hanifin is one of the points leaders among defensemen in the league and added his fourth goal of the season in the Nov.
