The Carolina Hurricanes are going through a two-game losing streak right now. That starts with a lack of offensive production and some bad luck in consecutive home games. To start the weekend off on Oct. 26, the Canes defeated the Toronto Maple Leafs on the road 6-3. Since then, Carolina has lost two-straight despite big performances from assistant captain Jeff Skinner.
On Oct. 27, the Canes were defeated by the St. Louis Blues at PNC Arena, 2-1. They followed that up with an Oct. 29 loss to the Anaheim Ducks, 4-3 in a shootout. Skinner scored one goal in each of those contests against the Blues and Ducks.
