Entering the 2015 preseason, the Carolina Hurricanes organization and their fan base alike had a good idea of what most of their young blue liners had.
Noah Hanifin was the obvious leader of the next-wave of youth on the back end, followed by the likes Haydn Fleury, Ryan Murphy, and breakout rookie Trevor Carrick.
Then came two college kids yet to play a game in the NHL, Jaccob Slavin and Brett Pesce.
Slavin and Pesce have always been talked about by the organization and those around it, but this is the first time we are really seeing what these two can do on the ice as they just now enter their 20’s, and it looks pretty impressive.
