After a thoroughly embarrassing performance from the Carolina Hurricanes, on both sides of the ice, in a convincing defeat against the Toronto Maple Leafs, it’s time for a real shakeup. The Canes did not come with their best effort on Dec. 19, coming off a three-game winning streak.
Head coach Bill Peters tried to juggle the lines, for both the forwards and defense, but without much success. The combination of Justin Faulk and Noah Hanifin really did not work out well for Peters and the Canes. Faulk finished the 8-1 defeat with a plus/minus as a -2 and Hanifin finished with a -3, two of the worst among all of the defensemen on the team.
