After a successful run in the playoffs that relied on, in no small part, to the goaltending tandem of Petr Mrazek and Curtis McElhinney, the Carolina Hurricanes could lose both. As quickly as they came to Raleigh, they could be out the door just as fast.
They have both earned the right to do that, as well. Both played phenomenally on their one year respective one year deals. Petr, who wanted a one dear in particular to prove to the NHL he could be a starter again, probably did that. Mac, who was claimed off waivers from Toronto, and has played just about everywhere, is getting up there in age and could be looking at his options.
