In all of the turmoil with the Carolina Hurricanes recently, rookie defenseman Haydn Fleury has flown under the radar. However, Fleury is quietly putting together one of the best starts to the 2017-18 NHL campaign of the player on the roster.
With the 4-5-3 start the Canes have gotten off to in the first 12 games, they need all the help they can get. The blue line has not been the problem, with consistent offensive production being hard to come by. Carolina has only scored three goals in the last five games. Those three games all resulted in losses also.
