The Carolina Hurricanes AHL affiliate, the Charlotte Checkers, had six second generation players last season. The Checkers roster included Jake Chelios, Keegan Lowe, Patrick Brown, Brody Sutter, Carter Sandlak, and Brendan Woods.
Despite having that common bond, the Checkers’ sons had very different experiences and upbringings. Whether their dads were playing or coaching, it usually meant growing up in several different places.
