A win over the Florida Panthers, in overtime, on Dec. 2 at PNC Arena was huge for the Carolina Hurricanes. The player that notched the overtime winner, with only two seconds remaining, was Noah Hanifin. It was the fifth goal of the season for Hanifin.
With the offensive production from the blue line sputtering for the Canes, the fact that Hanifin is having such a big start contributes an unbelievable amount. He’s leading all defenders on the Canes with 14 points. He’s also leading all defensemen on the team in goals and assists individually.
The goal against the Panthers in overtime came with just two seconds remaining in what was a much needed win for the entire team.
