Carolina Hurricanes Drop Third Straight Game in 5-3 Loss to Avalanche

This time, they fell to the Colorado Avalanche by a score of 5-3, falling below NHL .500 at 4-5-2 with their third consecutive loss and fifth in six games.

After 20 minutes, the Canes and Avs were knotted up at two. Victor Rask opened the scoring just 50 seconds in on a goal that Semyon Varlamov would certainly want back.

The Avalanche responded with two of their own, starting at the 7:31 mark with Carl Soderberg and just five minutes later with Patrick Nemeth netting his first goal of the season.
