On Friday, the Carolina Hurricanes announced that the club has cut 16 players from their 2015 training camp roster, bringing their player count down to 33.
14 of the players cut have been assigned to the Charlotte Checkers of the American Hockey League.
Erik Karlsson, Patrick Brown, Kyle Hagel, Carter Sandlak, Danny Biega, Keegan Lowe, Tyler Ganly, Jake Chelios, Rasmus Tirronen and Daniel Alshuller will all go to Charlotte immediately.
Zach Boychuk, T.J. Hensick, Justin Shugg, and Rasmus Rissanen will all hit the waiver wire today.
