Carolina Hurricanes: Chance to bounce back comes against Oilers

The Carolina Hurricanes fell short in the first road game of the season against the Winnipeg Jets on Oct. 14. That loss brought the Canes to 1-1-1 on the year. It was also the second straight loss after a defeat against the Columbus Blue Jackets in overtime on Oct. 10.

Carolina takes on another team facing an uphill battle right now in the Edmonton Oilers on Oct. 17. It’s not only a rematch of the 2006 Stanley Cup Finals, it’s also a chance for the Canes to show off the strength of their blue line against a young superstar in Connor McDavid.
