The Carolina Hurricanes sit just 2 points out of a playoff spot in the Eastern Conference, but it appears as if the club will have to make their push without Andrej Nestrasil.
According to a post on his official Facebook fan page account, Nestrasil suffered a back injury against the Toronto Maple Leafs on Thursday night. The injury is serious enough to keep him out for the remainder of the season.
In the post on Friday afternoon, it was confirmed that Nestrasil would miss the remainder of the season with a lower back injury.
The Prague native followed up with an Instagram post, repeating that he won’t be on the ice until next season.
