A two-game losing streak for the Carolina Hurricanes was snapped with a big 3-2 home win, at PNC Arena, over the Florida Panthers. Yet, a 3-0 road loss to the Vancouver Canucks on Dec. 5, to kick off a six-game road trip was deflating for any momentum gained by the Canes.
The first line for the Canes let them down in the first game of the road stretch. Jordan Staal gave a solid physical effort, but he was the only one that did. Sebastian Aho and Teuvo Teravainen fell flat, which has become a regular narrative of late.
