Carolina Hurricanes: Aho and Teravainen set to shine on world stage

Some big news, outside of the front office and coaching situation, came on April 21 for two of the best players for the Carolina Hurricanes. Sebastian Aho and Teuvo Teravainen, the Canes’ top wing combo, officially announced that they would play for Finland in the 2018 IIHF World Hockey Championships.

A few other significant names for the Canes had already decided not to play for their countries in the World Championships, like Jaccob Slavin. Some players likely want to take the summer months to rest and prepare for what guarantees to be a grueling schedule in 2018-19, and a lot of change on tap too.
