In a rough stretch for the Carolina Hurricanes lately, the best player on the team is still coming up huge. Jeff Skinner is the points leader for the Canes and could have his best season in the NHL to date if he continues playing this way.
Few players have been as important to their team’s success than Skinner has been with the Canes. Too many times has Skinner been the only goal scorer in what would eventually amount to a Carolina loss. Three times that has happened through 11 games this season.
Skinner had the best season of his NHL career in 2016-17, finishing with 37 goals.
