Well, Caniacs, it finally happened. The Carolina Hurricanes are going to the playoffs, actively ending the longest postseason drought in the NHL. A new chapter begins in Raleigh as the Hurricanes look to close out the 2018-2019 regular season with a win.
The Philadelphia Flyers have been mathematically eliminated from playoff contention since the Carolina Hurricanes themselves stifled the Flyers playoff hopes in an early afternoon matchup on March 30th. The Flyers have managed to pull out quite a few impressive wins against many top-ranked teams, so the Hurricanes cannot underestimate them in tonight’s matchup.
With a Hurricanes win tonight, along with a Pittsburgh Penguins loss in regulation, the Carolina Hurricanes can still move up to 3rd place in the Metropolitan Division.
