A day after a memorable playoff-clinching performance in a win over the New Jersey Devils, the Carolina Hurricanes announced Friday that they will look to keep the mojo of their black alternate jerseys going when the playoffs begin late next week.
The Canes will wear the black jerseys for all home games in the 2019 Stanley Cup Playoffs, the first time in team history that they will wear alternate uniforms in a playoff run. Per NHL rules, teams are allowed to ask permission to wear alternate jerseys at home in the playoffs, but should they receive permission they are required to wear those jerseys for the entirety of a playoff run.
