Canes sign two to two-way deals

The Hurricanes added two depth players on Friday, signing defenseman Jalen Chatfield to a one-year, two-way deal that will pay him $750,000 at the NHL level and $225,000 at the AHL level for next season, and forward Sam Miletic to a one-year, two-way deal that will pay him $750,000 at the NHL level and $85,000 at the AHL level next season.

Chatfield played 18 games with the Canucks last season, and Miletic has yet to play his first NHL game. Both players will likely play for the Chicago Wolves in the AHL this season.
