RALEIGH, NC – Ron Francis, Executive Vice President and General Manager of the National Hockey League’s Carolina Hurricanes, today announced that the team has recalled forwards Brody Sutter and Brendan Woods from the Charlotte Checkers of the American Hockey League (AHL). Sutter and Woods will be available to play in tonight’s game against the Columbus Blue Jackets at PNC Arena.
Sutter, 24, has appeared in seven NHL games for the Hurricanes this season. The Viking, Alb., native has totaled 21 points (11g, 10a) and 37 penalty minutes in 64 games on the AHL level with the Checkers this season.
