Hope everyone is safe today. Raleigh hasn’t seen the worst of the storm yet, and since daybreak there have been a good number of trees down especially in southern Wake County, so we’ll put this out now and try to get ahead of any potential power outages. The coast has predictably been slammed since yesterday afternoon, with more than ten feet of storm surge up the Neuse River at New Bern and substantial damage from Wilmington north to Beaufort and Harkers Island.
