Canes, 99.9 FM The Fan Agree to Multi-Year Extension

RALEIGH, NC – Don Waddell, President of the National Hockey League’s Carolina Hurricanes, today announced that the team has reached an agreement on a multi-year extension with Capitol Broadcasting Company to keep 99.9 FM The Fan as the flagship station of the Hurricanes Radio Network.

“Capitol Broadcasting sets the standard for media in the Triangle area, and has always been a good friend of our team,” said Waddell. “We are pleased to have reached an agreement to keep 99.9 FM The Fan the radio home of the Hurricanes.”

The Fan will continue to carry play-by-play calls of Hurricanes games as it has since its inception in October 2007.
