The Carolina Hurricanes are set to host the Colorado Avalanche this evening at PNC Arena. The Hurricanes are coming off a shutout victory in Chicago against the Blackhawks.
The Stanley Cup Champions come to Carolina after a 3-2 defeat to the St. Louis Blues on Monday.
This is the second time these two teams have played each other in less than a week. The last game was in Colorado with the Avalanche defeating the Hurricanes by a score of 4-1.
The Avalanche backup goaltender, Pavel Francouz, played in that contest. Expect to see Alexander Georgiev between the pipes tonight.
