We just saw Jeff Skinner experience his first time, making it to the Stanley Cup Final with the Oilers this season. Not too long ago, the same was the case for defenseman Ron Hainsey.
Through the first decade of his career, Hainsey's teams had almost always come up short. He was with the Canadiens when they made the playoffs in 2004, but he only appeared in 11 games that season.
