The Calgary Flames have a lot of prospects. As the 2021-22 league calendar prepares to officially flip over to 2022-23 with the opening of free agency on Wednesday, the picture is becoming clearer in terms of where the Flames’ up-and-comers will be playing next season.

The Flames’ American Hockey League affiliate has relocated to Calgary for the foreseeable future. Details regarding where they’re playing are still being ironed out and are expected to be announced around the time that the AHL announces their league schedule later in July.
