Well, what else did you expect?
Longtime Calgary Flames defenceman and current Seattle Kraken captain Mark Giordano scored just 5:48 into his first career game against his former team, giving the Kraken a 1–0 lead early in the first period on Thursday.
Kraken forward Calle Jarnkrok sent a pass into the slot that barely missed its intended recipient, Colin Blackwell, before making its way onto Giordano’s stick. The former Flames captain fired a pinpoint accurate wrister past Jacob Markstrom for his fourth goal with Seattle.
Blackwell and Jarnkrok picked up the assists on Giordano’s goal, shown below in a tweet from Sportsnet.
