Throwback Thursday: This week in 2017, Jaromir Jagr passes Gordie Howe in games played

Welcome back to another edition of Throwback Thursday!

This week in 2017 (Nov. 7), Jaromir Jagr played in his 1,925th NHL game passing Gordie Howe on the all-time games played list.

Jagr had just signed with the Flames the month prior, but only played in 22 games. He scored one goal and seven points as a third liner and was still a great player providing offence at a five percent rate higher than league average and defence at a three percent rate higher than league average.

But for Jagr, he departed the club in January 2018 via waivers after a combination of age, not having a full training camp and the speed of the NHL led to his demise.
