Throwback Thursday: This week in 1994, Al MacInnis becomes first Calgary Flames player to score 800 points

Welcome back to another edition of Throwback Thursday!

This week in 1994 (Feb. 12), defenceman Al MacInnis became the first player in Calgary Flames history to score 800 points as a member of the organization.

It came in a 3-2 win for the Flames over the visiting Toronto Maple Leafs. The point, an assist, came on Joe Nieuwendyk’s third-period goal to tie the game. MacInnis only scored 22 more points in his career with the Flames before he had been dealt to the St. Louis Blues.

All in all, MacInnis totalled 213 goals and 822 points in 803 games.
