On this day in 2010, the Calgary Flames broke out of a scoring slump and beat the New Jersey Devils 5-3.

The Flames had struggled to score, The Record’s Tom Gulitti wrote the Flames had scored more than two goals only six times in their last 18 games and were shutout four times over that span.

Calgary built up a 5-1 lead up until halfway through the third period in thanks to goals from Daymond Langkow, Curtis Glengross, Eric Nystrom, Matt Stajan and David Moss.
