The Flames never showed up last night and suffered an embarrassing defeat 3-1 at the hands of the Vancouver Canucks. Calgary had little to no jump from the get go, finding themselves out shot in every period and by a mile. Jacob Markstrom held up his end of the bargain last night, stopping 43 of the 46 shots that came his way in the loss. One thing is for sure after this game, the Flames can’t hang any of their losses on their new goaltender as he has been the best/most consistent player on the team so far.
