-Really Special Teams: The Flames made Vancouver pay for their mistakes last night and they took care of their own as well. The Flames PP finished at 50% last night, scoring all three of their goals with the man advantage. And when they took a penalty, they handled that business as well. The Flames PK unit went 4-4 last night, shutting down the Canucks when they needed to.

-Shut ‘Em Out: Jacob Markstrom showed everyone why Calgary gave him a hefty contract in the offseason last night. Markstrom stopped all 32 shots that came his way, earning his first shut out of the season and first with the Flames.
