Stampeders’ win over the Alouettes leaves a handful of takeaways

It had been a while since the Calgary Stampeders had looked anything less than spectacular, but Saturday’s ugly grind of a win over the Montreal Alouettes was a reminder that football can get ugly sometimes.

At the end of the day, though, the Stamps walked away from McMahon with their 13th straight win and a defensive performance that offered a lot to feel encouraged about.
