PENTICTON, B.C. — The names everyone expected to hear were singled out.
Newcomers Andrew Mangiapane, Jon Gillies and Rasmus Andersson caught the ice of the Flames brass, said assistant GM Craig Conroy during the Young Stars Classic tournament.
Some of the more experienced prospects, such as Sam Bennett, Brett Kulak and Bill Arnold were close to or at expectations over the course of the three games.
And even a few free-agents, such as Julien Proulx and Mason Marchment, did what they could to be noticed.
But a name not talked about often over the past few days and maybe even overlooked among the club’s 2015 draft picks certainly intrigued Conroy.
