TORONTO - Sergei Fedorov had personal issues. There were problems with his relationship with tennis sex symbol Anna Kournikova. He wasn’t sure which direction his life was heading.
Enter Scotty Bowman, who Fedorov admitted Friday came to his rescue.
“I enjoyed working with Scotty Bowman very much, but I got the chance to know Scotty (when) I had trouble off ice,” Fedorov revealed Friday during a ceremony in which he received his Hockey Hall of Fame ring.
“One moment I really cherish and I really got to know Scotty when he let figure out my life and let me off the team for a couple, three days .
